Best gift ever!, March 20, 2011 By Bronwyn (Charleston, SC)
"I gifted myself this coffe maker for my birthday on a whim. I had some coffee at my doctors workplace from a Keurig machine and was impressed that I might have customized the dimensions, and chosen my very own flavor.

The reason why I purchased this size Keurig is for the travel sized mug, and also the larger reservoir. you merely take away the drip tray pull out and inside one minute you have got a steaming cup of good coffee.
I know that this time has been belabored before, however the actual fact that you just brew every cup of coffee seperately is awesome. You get that 'first cup of coffee' style with every cup.

For my fellow road warriors- i like to recommend employing a daring/extra bold roast for the travel sized mug. i attempted a medium roast with that size and did not find it irresistible.
With respect to the size/look of the Keurig, the silver/blacks blends well in my kitchen and it is not as bulky as i assumed it might are. ( i used to be initially viewing the smaller brewers since it's simply hubby and that i, and that we solely drink coffee within the morning).

I heartily advocate the Keurig though you are not significant coffee drinkers. It's awesome for entertaining, and you'll be able to brew tea, cocoa and cold drinks suchs as sweet tea and iced coffee."

Best Single Cup Brewer On The Market, October 9, 2006
By D. Peterson (Portland, OR USA)
"I recently purchased the new Keurig B-70 gourmand Single Cup Home Brewing System that was released on October first, 2006 and are terribly proud of it. The machine is very neat, straightforward to work, aesthetically pleasing, and most significantly, brews a wonderful cup of coffee. i'm very impressed with how quickly it's ready to brew a cup of coffee, the choice of brew sizes, and the way straightforward close up is.
There are a range of single cup brewers on the market currently, several utilizing pre-packaged coffee "pods" for brewing. Personally i used to be not snug getting a product where i'd be locked into the choice and pricing of a selected manufacturer, or one that might solely brew coffee and not tea and cocoa. this can be only 1 space where Keurig very shines higher than their competition.
Keurig has gathered support of a range of gourmand coffee, tea, and cocoa makers and there currently there are over one hundred forty differing types sold pre-packaged in K-Cups as well as inexperienced Mountain, Diedrich, Gloria Jean's, Timothy's, Van Houtte, Tully's, coffee folks, Newman's Own, Celestial Seasonings, Bigelow, Twinings, and Ghirardelli. Not solely is there an oversized choice to settle on from, there are a range of resellers on-line providing K-Cups, and pricing is very competitive.
In addition to the pre-packaged offerings, Keurig offers the My K-Cup Reusable coffee Filter permits you to use your own gourmand ground coffee in your Keurig home brewer. this feature provided the additional level of comfort I personally required to form the jump into one cup brewer. Frankly i do not realize myself using it fairly often as I had originally thought, as there are such a lot of choices accessible in pre-packaged K-cups.
The pricing of the Keurig brewers are very affordable, and brews gourmand coffee in mere a fraction of the value of buying it from a Starbucks, coffee folks, or similar. I expect that my machine pays for itself in savings in mere some months of use.
The only suggestion I even have for Keurig is that the My K-Cup Reusable coffee Filter be included with the sale of the brewer, and not an optional accent. it's such an affordable accent that i'm shocked it had been not included. Overall the Keurig brewers are glorious worth and quality and would suggest them to anyone fascinated by one cup brewer."

Tidy Adaptation of the Cowboy Coffee Brew Method, June 8, 2009 By AZshooter
"Let's face it, dumping coffee grounds into a bucket of hot water is nothing new. The Bodum Press may be a refinement of the cowboy coffee brewing technique, minus the campfire & straining it via a sock. In My world, there's no such issue as "too Strong" for coffee. There IS, however, too bitter & too acidy. The press will what perking, dripping and steaming ground coffee cannot do: manufacture a stout, nevertheless swish cup of coffee - a bit like the things created around decades of my campfires.
Model Brazil, created in Denmark by a Swiss Company & referred to as a French Press. No surprise the confusion over specifically what percentage cups this really makes. The Euro-instructions for the press say four oz. per cup, however even my fine Bavarian China cups (from after I lived in Munich) are half-dozen ounces.
Just cross-check it this way: It holds thirty two ounces of water.
The directions on your roast coffee container sometimes inform use one TBSP per half-dozen ounces of water (NOT four ounces & NOT eight ounces). Again, in MY world, 32 ozs. makes regarding two cups of coffee.
I toss in half-dozen or a lot of scoops of ground coffee, pour in hot water & wait the obligatory four minutes. The result's a swish coffee that you just will drink by the quart while not that nasty heartburn/reflux aspect impact.
It's ideal for work, where the workplace sissies are petrified of offending anyone with REAL coffee, in order that they create it weak. I merely intensify to the recent water spigot & take the Press to my desk.
Now, you, too, will have coffee the method you wish it at work while not having to hide up someone's botched brew with that foo-foo Vanilla, Hazelnut, Irish Cream or different phoney-flavored fake creamers.
Cleanup? Swirl around some soapy water, & dump the grounds down the sink - simply make sure to possess the water blasting & the rubbish disposal running, therefore on not plug up the sink lure.
Even if you have already got the coffee-brewing equipment of your dreams, get the Bodum thirty two oz. model. you will not be disappointed."

Best way to make filter coffee, March 30, 2011 By Phil
"To me the french press makes the most effective filter or "drip" coffee. make certain you employ the proper coarseness of grounds, and you may be a really happy, coffee-drinking camper. This product is strong and a really good buy. I cannot imagine something a dearer French Press would improve over this one."

If you own a Keurig..you need this holder!, September 21, 2009
By Sasa (Carson City, NV)
"If you're doing all of your analysis on that is that the best K-cup holder, stop currently and obtain this! it's terribly durable and compact! It spins perfectly and appears very nice sitting right next to your coffee maker. I even move (nothing falling out as i'm walking with it)this over to the table at dessert time and gift it to my guests. you must see the smile on their face with they spin it around and see the various alternatives they will select from. It fits thirty k-cups, that permits me to own a pleasant choice of coffee, tea and hot chocolate at my finger tips."

glad I bought it, April 2, 2011 By Cynthia Ladwig "CZL" (SAN JOSE, CA USA)
"So glad that I found this one, i believed i used to be aiming to need to get the chrome kind that takes up a lot of counter house. i actually liked the drawer kind however did not order that one as a result of the reviews warned me that it'd raise the coffee maker up therefore high that I couldn't longer keep it underneath my cupboard. Thank goodness for helpful reviews. the most effective things regarding this one is that where I placed it I will hide the twine to my Keureg (hate staring at cords) and that we will place decaf on one facet and high octaine on the opposite."

Small but efficient, March 29, 2011
By Bargain Betty (Alpharetta, Georgia United States)
"Since i do not drink coffee, I bought this for my husband. He solely drinks 2 tiny cups before work therefore this will the trick. It took a short time to induce the proper quantity of coffee for his style, however it works quick and nicely. terribly tiny overall therefore it does not take up abundant counter area. Pretty basic drip coffee maker for a reasonably basic value."

Had mine for 5 years and always works great, October 6, 2004
By Brian C. Clark "Engineer" (Hartford, CT)

"I have had this machine for 5 years currently thus i assumed somebody would possibly wish to here an extended term review. Mine doesn't have a stainless cup, however my cup is tapered like this one.
Pros:
1) Brews one cup (I'm the sole one who drinks it).
2) Quick, regarding a pair of minutes to brew and five to complete dripping.
3) simple to scrub. I actually have rinsed the whole unit many times.
4) No trash. Comes with a permanent filter.
5) Filter cleans simply. simply faucet out the coffee within the trash and rinse.
5) may be used with a timer. See below for rationalization.
6) Takes up little area.
7) may be used with different cups. As long as you do not overflow the reservoir and your cup can match underneath it, the cup can work.

Cons:
1) it's gravity fed through the filter thus five minutes could also be too long for a few.
2) take care to line up the exit spout with hole. Once you get it you may see, however if you do not you may have coffee everywhere your counter.
3) If you grind you coffee to fine, you may get coffee grinds on the within of the machine. No massive deal as you'll be able to rinse the unit off simply.

Timer:
Once you activate the unit it'll run till the reservoir is empty. the sole thanks to stop it's to unplug it. However, if you plug it back in it'll devour where it left of. If you activate it with it unplugged, it'll begin as soon because it is plugged in. Therefore, if you wish coffee once you rouse, all you would like may be a wall timer (about $5 from several sources). Set the timer to activate within the morning once you need your coffee. Prepare the machine like traditional, depressing the activation button. When the timer activates within the morning the machine can begin brewing your coffee."

love the coffee, March 29, 2011 By ERS
"I have been very happy with the coffee that's made by this device. Yes, it's additional work than employing a drip coffee maker, however the results are superior. Cleanup is extremely straightforward. One issue I do notice amusing . . . as I scan reviews here and on different sites, I see plenty of individuals discussing the prices of the filters. It's concerning $5 for 350 filters, however individuals are boasting concerning how you'll keep reusing them. To me, the irony is how those who purchase an Aeropress are checking out superior tasting cups of coffee and that they are willing to pay the cash on the top quality coffee and settle for the very fact that the Aeropress will use additional coffee than different strategies on a per cup basis, however there's most concentrate on the comparatively tiny value of the filters. Amazing."

Coffee the way you like it, September 24, 2006 By P. A. Cook (USA)
"I did several hours of analysis into coffee makers before preferring an Aeropress. I learned that many factors influence the coffee you finish up with: the temperature of the water, the method the water mixes with the coffeeand the way the coffee is extracted from the grounds. I found it troublesome to search out knowledgeable reviews of the varied coffee machines, thus i made a decision to require management of my coffee preparation. The aeropress permits you to manage how hot the water is and the way long you let it combine with the coffee.
The whole coffee creating method is explained within the merchandise directions.
1. Insert a filter and a few coffee into the unit. A coffee scoop and a few filters are included with the aeropress, they suggest one scoop of coffee per cup.
2. Heat the proper quantity of water. Markers are printed on the facet of the Aeropress to indicate the suggested quantity of water for between one and four (the maximum) espresso shots. The manufacturers suggest water between seventy five and eighty degrees. i do not understand if this is often correct, as a result of i do not have a thermometer within the kitchen, and in any case, i am not aiming to stick a thermometer in water to induce it to a certain temperature. I boil water in my kettle and let the water sit for a group time before use. Alternatively, you may microwave the water for a group time. alittle of experimentation and you will realize how hot you wish the water. I believe Aeropress that boiling hot water extracts unpleasant flavors.
3. combine the water with the grounds. The grounds are immersed in water, very similar to in an exceedingly french press, however the manufacturers suggest letting the water sit for no quite regarding ten seconds. I realize that this is often regarding right, however you'll experiment and choose for yourself.
4. Insert the plunger and push the water out of the Aeropress. You press the plunger down so it extracts the water from the grounds over regarding twenty seconds. The Aeropress must be on a powerful and stable container, like a mug, for this a part of the method. Pressing the plunger needs alittle of strength if you're creating quite one espresso shot. you'll have to press down for regarding twenty seconds.
5. Drink up, or dilute the espresso shot(s) for american coffee or combine them for cappuccino, or no matter.
I am terribly pleased with the Aeropress. It makes nice tasting coffee. it is simple to scrub and cheap. In my opinion the aeropress is superior to french press or manual drip percolator coffee. it's not as convenient as a machine however i am willing to pay the trouble for sensible coffee."

Love it, March 26, 2011 By Darlene McClimans
"Love my Keurig k cup! Have one just for tea ( so it doesn't take on coffee flavor) which can be brewed in seconds for hot tea or ice tea. And it's great for coffee when I'm out of the coffee K cups, or can't find them in a flavor I like. "

Lifesaver, March 25, 2011 By Da Real McCoy
"I bought my wife this single cup brew k-cup coffee maker for x-mas last year. Only to discover that she prefers 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts' brands over all of the k-cup pre packaged ones. This filter allows her to brew her own brands and she loves it, so I love it too! Great price, great product! Real Talk"
