The best home coffee maker!, May 1, 2011 By Deanna Jones (Seattle, WA)
"I absolutely love the Keurig! It's so simply and easy. You really only need a minute to make coffee with this machine. Make sure there's water, turn it on and after the water heats up, you're ready to go. Put your K Cup in, select small or large portion, and after less than 30 seconds you have a great cup of coffee.
Once you've gotten your Keurig, I recommend trying the My K Cup, then you can use ground coffee and are not limited to only using K Cups (though there is quite the variety out there, including Caribou flavors.)
I also love that there is no clean up. Just take the coffee (or tea) K Cup out after you've made your beverage and discard, that's it. "

"I read every single Amazon.com review for this item. And then read them again. I went to the Keurig website and researched the B40. Came back to Amazon and read the reviews one more time. If I was going to pay $100 for a coffee machine, I wanted to be sure I knew as much as possible about it. I finally purchased the B40, and after getting it today and having brewed four cups of coffee so far, I offer the following review (from a BLACK COFFEE drinker, no milk, no sugar):
I think the people who claim this machine is too loud and complain that it vibrates too much are your normal "Mr. Coffee" people. Yes, the machine makes noise. It's pumping pressurized hot water into the K-Cups. Of course it's gonna make noise. I counted each time the noise was made. It lasts five seconds each time, at most. And it's MUCH quieter than my Melitta Mill & Brew, which grinds the coffee beans with a high shrill. This machine also vibrates. But again, it's well worth the minor noise and moderate vibration. You shouldn't be shelling out this much money for a coffee machine if you expect a Mr. Coffee coffee maker. You are buying a "gourmet" coffee machine, and it has some cool features that require hot pressurized water to be pumped through the machine. Not a big deal!
I think a lot of the negative reviews that I read, and maybe all of them, referred to an older version of the B40 that only had one cup size setting. Indeed, when I purchased this machine at Target today, the display model for the B40 had only one cup size. I had to triple-check the box to make sure I was getting the B40 with the TWO cup sizes (and I was). So maybe they have improved the machine since that version.
I read negative reviews about this machine making weak coffee. I was so freaked out about those reviews, I wanted to brew every K-Cup (even the Extra Bold) on the small cup setting. As I was brewing the third cup, I put in a "regular" K-Cup and hit the "large" cup setting. I immediately went into Panic Mode, worried that I just wasted a K-Cup, because my coffee would be too weak to drink. Not true at all! Yes, the coffee was not quite as strong as I would normally like, but it was a very decent cup of coffee. I will not worry if I ever hit the large size on a regular pod again. Although I plan on buying all Extra Bold cups, so that I can brew a bigger cup.
I am extremely pleased with this coffee machine. So much so that I plan to buy two of this same model (or the B60 if it's on sale) as Christmas gifts for my mom and uncle.
As a former coffee house Assistant Manager and an avid fan of "gourmet" coffee, I highly recommend this coffee machine. Probably the best $100 I have spent in at least five years. One of my biggest concerns was that the beans had NO TIME to brew properly in such a short amount of time. But I was completely wrong. This machine brews a nice, bold, rich cup of coffee. Slightly less bold and rich if you brew the regular pods on the larger cup setting; but still very drinkable. I was also concerned that the pods would leak after removing them from the machine, but they are almost dry. I haven't had a single one drip on the way to the trash can, and I remove them seconds after brewing. I'm extremely pleased with the ease and cleanliness of using this machine. No filters to deal with, no messy coffee grounds, no dirty coffee pots to wash (and filter baskets). The convenience of the machine alone is well worth the minor noise and vibration.
I highly recommend this machine. Just do your research and make sure this is the coffee machine you are looking for. It takes time to research, but it pays off in the end. I couldn't be happier with the B40, and don't see why anyone else wouldn't be just as pleased.
Time for me to make another cup. "

Best single-serve coffee maker out there, November 15, 2005
By The Mad Hatter (Pennsylvania USA)
"If you're reading this review, you're most likely doing research and trying to decide between the Keurig line (B40,B50,B60), the Tassimo, or the Senseo. Out of those three, the Keurig is the best looking, the most durable, has the best heating and pumping mechanism, and has the largest variety of coffees and teas available. The Tassimo's versatility is tempting, but variety of coffees is lacking, the machine is a first-run model that does not feel as quality as the Keurig (I could barely find a piece of metal in the entire thing), and it cannot be set to warm itself up like the Keurig. The Senseo isn't bad and I may even consider getting it as a second machine, but it is kind of lame how you need two pods to brew an 8 oz cup of coffee. Considering the price of pods that I was looking at, it would outprice both the Keurig and the Tassimo for daily usage.
Between the Keurig models (B40,B50,B60), I spent a lot of time trying to decide and eventually went with the B60, mainly because the B60 is the only model that brews 3 different sizes of coffee--5.25, 7.25, and 9.25oz. The B50, a favorite amongst shoppers, does not offer the 9.25oz size. This large size allows my Oxo travel mug to almost completely fill after using one Extra Bold K-cup. As an added benefit of the B60, you get beautiful blue LEDs behind the display and the water tank, as well as a polished chrome handle and polished chrome outer-ring to the display. It looks very modern and very classy in my otherwise boring kitchen. Highly recommended. "
Keurig saves me trips to the drive-thru, April 11, 2011
By Dee (Bowels Of Hell Massachusetts)
"Mornings can be hectic..and I can't function without my morning cup of coffee. After forgetting to set my coffee maker overnight, it left me without enough time in the morning to brew a pot of coffee and thus resulted in plenty of trips to a local donut shop drive thru before work. After putting the franchisee's kids through college, I decided to invest in a single cup brewer.
The Keurig B60 was the obvious choice for me. I can choose between 3 cup sizes whether I want a very quick cup, have enough time to savor a cup at home, or fill up my travel mug and take it en route with me. And the best part?? I have the cup size of my choice ready in less than a minute!
The Keurig B60 is a sleek looking model that looks nicely on my counter top with its chrome details and blue LED display.
There are plenty of Kcup varieties on the market...from plain ol' coffee to flavored coffees...flavored teas, you can even brew your favorites over ice. The Kcups are widely available which is great. I noticed that some of the other single cup brewers on the market don't have their brand of products as widely available as these. I've seen Kcups online (of course!), club/warehouse stores, mass market retailers, and grocery stores.
The Keurig B60 is good for those of you who (like me) don't have time (or forget to set the timer) to brew a full pot of coffee (that only goes to waste anyway). Price wise the Kcups are cheaper than a cup of coffee at your local coffee shop, but more expensive than using a traditional coffee pot. There is a kcup filter available, however, where you can brew your own coffee using whatever coffee of your choosing (such as folgers, maxwell house, etc) so it's great that you can use that as an option. This is defintely a great single cup brewer to consider."

Best gift ever!, March 20, 2011 By Bronwyn (Charleston, SC)
"I gifted myself this coffe maker for my birthday on a whim. I had some coffee at my doctors workplace from a Keurig machine and was impressed that I might have customized the dimensions, and chosen my very own flavor.
The reason why I purchased this size Keurig is for the travel sized mug, and also the larger reservoir. you merely take away the drip tray pull out and inside one minute you have got a steaming cup of good coffee.
I know that this time has been belabored before, however the actual fact that you just brew every cup of coffee seperately is awesome. You get that 'first cup of coffee' style with every cup.
For my fellow road warriors- i like to recommend employing a daring/extra bold roast for the travel sized mug. i attempted a medium roast with that size and did not find it irresistible.
With respect to the size/look of the Keurig, the silver/blacks blends well in my kitchen and it is not as bulky as i assumed it might are. ( i used to be initially viewing the smaller brewers since it's simply hubby and that i, and that we solely drink coffee within the morning).
I heartily advocate the Keurig though you are not significant coffee drinkers. It's awesome for entertaining, and you'll be able to brew tea, cocoa and cold drinks suchs as sweet tea and iced coffee."
Best Single Cup Brewer On The Market, October 9, 2006
By D. Peterson (Portland, OR USA)
"I recently purchased the new Keurig B-70 gourmand Single Cup Home Brewing System that was released on October first, 2006 and are terribly proud of it. The machine is very neat, straightforward to work, aesthetically pleasing, and most significantly, brews a wonderful cup of coffee. i'm very impressed with how quickly it's ready to brew a cup of coffee, the choice of brew sizes, and the way straightforward close up is.
There are a range of single cup brewers on the market currently, several utilizing pre-packaged coffee "pods" for brewing. Personally i used to be not snug getting a product where i'd be locked into the choice and pricing of a selected manufacturer, or one that might solely brew coffee and not tea and cocoa. this can be only 1 space where Keurig very shines higher than their competition.
Keurig has gathered support of a range of gourmand coffee, tea, and cocoa makers and there currently there are over one hundred forty differing types sold pre-packaged in K-Cups as well as inexperienced Mountain, Diedrich, Gloria Jean's, Timothy's, Van Houtte, Tully's, coffee folks, Newman's Own, Celestial Seasonings, Bigelow, Twinings, and Ghirardelli. Not solely is there an oversized choice to settle on from, there are a range of resellers on-line providing K-Cups, and pricing is very competitive.
In addition to the pre-packaged offerings, Keurig offers the My K-Cup Reusable coffee Filter permits you to use your own gourmand ground coffee in your Keurig home brewer. this feature provided the additional level of comfort I personally required to form the jump into one cup brewer. Frankly i do not realize myself using it fairly often as I had originally thought, as there are such a lot of choices accessible in pre-packaged K-cups.
The pricing of the Keurig brewers are very affordable, and brews gourmand coffee in mere a fraction of the value of buying it from a Starbucks, coffee folks, or similar. I expect that my machine pays for itself in savings in mere some months of use.
The only suggestion I even have for Keurig is that the My K-Cup Reusable coffee Filter be included with the sale of the brewer, and not an optional accent. it's such an affordable accent that i'm shocked it had been not included. Overall the Keurig brewers are glorious worth and quality and would suggest them to anyone fascinated by one cup brewer."

If you own a Keurig..you need this holder!, September 21, 2009
By Sasa (Carson City, NV)
"If you're doing all of your analysis on that is that the best K-cup holder, stop currently and obtain this! it's terribly durable and compact! It spins perfectly and appears very nice sitting right next to your coffee maker. I even move (nothing falling out as i'm walking with it)this over to the table at dessert time and gift it to my guests. you must see the smile on their face with they spin it around and see the various alternatives they will select from. It fits thirty k-cups, that permits me to own a pleasant choice of coffee, tea and hot chocolate at my finger tips."
glad I bought it, April 2, 2011 By Cynthia Ladwig "CZL" (SAN JOSE, CA USA)
"So glad that I found this one, i believed i used to be aiming to need to get the chrome kind that takes up a lot of counter house. i actually liked the drawer kind however did not order that one as a result of the reviews warned me that it'd raise the coffee maker up therefore high that I couldn't longer keep it underneath my cupboard. Thank goodness for helpful reviews. the most effective things regarding this one is that where I placed it I will hide the twine to my Keureg (hate staring at cords) and that we will place decaf on one facet and high octaine on the opposite."

Love it, March 26, 2011 By Darlene McClimans
"Love my Keurig k cup! Have one just for tea ( so it doesn't take on coffee flavor) which can be brewed in seconds for hot tea or ice tea. And it's great for coffee when I'm out of the coffee K cups, or can't find them in a flavor I like. "
Lifesaver, March 25, 2011 By Da Real McCoy
"I bought my wife this single cup brew k-cup coffee maker for x-mas last year. Only to discover that she prefers 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts' brands over all of the k-cup pre packaged ones. This filter allows her to brew her own brands and she loves it, so I love it too! Great price, great product! Real Talk"

A darned good cup of coffee!, March 22, 2011
By Neal L. Martin "DakotaDocMartin" (Grand Forks, ND USA)
"This is everything i used to be probing for during a coffee. It's dark, bold, rich, flavorful, smooth, and extremely aromatic. i attempted one out simply as soon as UPS delivered it and then had a second cup right afterward. i prefer this mix even higher than Emeril's extra bold and Newman's Own extra bold that are 2 of my favorites"
