love the coffee, March 29, 2011 By ERS
"I have been very happy with the coffee that's made by this device. Yes, it's additional work than employing a drip coffee maker, however the results are superior. Cleanup is extremely straightforward. One issue I do notice amusing . . . as I scan reviews here and on different sites, I see plenty of individuals discussing the prices of the filters. It's concerning $5 for 350 filters, however individuals are boasting concerning how you'll keep reusing them. To me, the irony is how those who purchase an Aeropress are checking out superior tasting cups of coffee and that they are willing to pay the cash on the top quality coffee and settle for the very fact that the Aeropress will use additional coffee than different strategies on a per cup basis, however there's most concentrate on the comparatively tiny value of the filters. Amazing."

Coffee the way you like it, September 24, 2006 By P. A. Cook (USA)
"I did several hours of analysis into coffee makers before preferring an Aeropress. I learned that many factors influence the coffee you finish up with: the temperature of the water, the method the water mixes with the coffeeand the way the coffee is extracted from the grounds. I found it troublesome to search out knowledgeable reviews of the varied coffee machines, thus i made a decision to require management of my coffee preparation. The aeropress permits you to manage how hot the water is and the way long you let it combine with the coffee.
The whole coffee creating method is explained within the merchandise directions.
1. Insert a filter and a few coffee into the unit. A coffee scoop and a few filters are included with the aeropress, they suggest one scoop of coffee per cup.
2. Heat the proper quantity of water. Markers are printed on the facet of the Aeropress to indicate the suggested quantity of water for between one and four (the maximum) espresso shots. The manufacturers suggest water between seventy five and eighty degrees. i do not understand if this is often correct, as a result of i do not have a thermometer within the kitchen, and in any case, i am not aiming to stick a thermometer in water to induce it to a certain temperature. I boil water in my kettle and let the water sit for a group time before use. Alternatively, you may microwave the water for a group time. alittle of experimentation and you will realize how hot you wish the water. I believe Aeropress that boiling hot water extracts unpleasant flavors.
3. combine the water with the grounds. The grounds are immersed in water, very similar to in an exceedingly french press, however the manufacturers suggest letting the water sit for no quite regarding ten seconds. I realize that this is often regarding right, however you'll experiment and choose for yourself.
4. Insert the plunger and push the water out of the Aeropress. You press the plunger down so it extracts the water from the grounds over regarding twenty seconds. The Aeropress must be on a powerful and stable container, like a mug, for this a part of the method. Pressing the plunger needs alittle of strength if you're creating quite one espresso shot. you'll have to press down for regarding twenty seconds.
5. Drink up, or dilute the espresso shot(s) for american coffee or combine them for cappuccino, or no matter.
I am terribly pleased with the Aeropress. It makes nice tasting coffee. it is simple to scrub and cheap. In my opinion the aeropress is superior to french press or manual drip percolator coffee. it's not as convenient as a machine however i am willing to pay the trouble for sensible coffee."

The carafe collects the freshly brewed coffee simply because the directions says it'll. Then we tend to pour ourselves deliciously brewed and stored coffee right into our favourite mugs. couldn't be any easier. Love it, March 26, 2011 By Darlene McClimans
"Love my Keurig k cup! Have one just for tea ( so it doesn't take on coffee flavor) which can be brewed in seconds for hot tea or ice tea. And it's great for coffee when I'm out of the coffee K cups, or can't find them in a flavor I like. "

Lifesaver, March 25, 2011 By Da Real McCoy
"I bought my wife this single cup brew k-cup coffee maker for x-mas last year. Only to discover that she prefers 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts' brands over all of the k-cup pre packaged ones. This filter allows her to brew her own brands and she loves it, so I love it too! Great price, great product! Real Talk"

PlanoJ, March 28, 2011 By J. Webb (Plano, TX)
" I "tossed" my first Krups grinder after a steady 10-12 years use. I think the blades got dull from a bag of cheap coffee I tried. I then moved to a couple of other "recommended brand" grinders and was disappointed in their bulk, the designs and cleanliness, not to mention high prices. I returned them.
I went back to this Krups grinder a couple of years ago and love it! Simple, efficient, easy to use, easy to store and clean.
I use it at least three times a day. "

back to basics, March 27, 2011 By A. M. Doyle (Cincinnati, OH USA)
"We were sucked into the hype around burr grinders a few years back and tossed our old Krups grinder. It was actually an old one of my mother's and the top was getting a little ragged, chewed up. But this week we came back around and ordered this grinder. You just can't beat its simplicity. I like being able to measure out the exact amount of beans and grind it to my own preference. The burr grinder relies on presets for how fine the grind is. You also are trusting that, when you set it to grind 10 cups' worth of beans, that's what you will get. After a while those things start getting a little wiggy on you.
But not this unit. It grinds exactly what you put in and it grinds it coarse or fine, whatever you want. There's very little to go wrong because there's not much going on. No fancy dials or knobs. It's perfect."

Krups grinder., March 26, 2011 By M. Knox (MN)
"I have used this model for 3 years about 100 lbs of beans. This is a replacement.
It works for it's daily grinding of coffee beans.
The old one still works but the new one is better, grinds
smoother, and makes a little less noise. "

Water Filters for Cuisinart Coffee Maker, January 20, 2011 By GregOnAmazon
"This package consists of two replacement water filters for the Cuisinart Coffee Maker which we purchased June 2010. The filters contain charcoal and are easy to replace and safe to use. I highly recommend using and replacing these filters on a regular basis, we find that the filter definitely separates unseen micro-impurities from the water before the coffee is brewed. And even though we have well water and are lucky to have a clean and healthy supply, we have still noticed a difference in the taste and aroma of the coffee. Charcoal filters are natural and extremely effective. We find this product to work surprisingly well, quality made and priced accurately. "

Great coffee, March 28, 2011 By Paul R vanderWateren
"I love the Senseo coffee pods. cheaper than the Bosch pods we have at work and better taste too. Simple to use and simpler to dispose the spent pods. PLUS if I really want to use the coffee outside of the pods; I simply empty 3-5 pods into a old school paper filter and I can make a entire pot of drip brew just as easily.

I cannot understand why this system is not as popular in my area (North Eastern US)
O-Well I guess that is OK; as I can get good deals on the pods when it is time to replenish my stockpile ;-) "

Coffee Achiever!, February 27, 2011
By Kelly J. "Bookworm" (Los Angeles, CA)
"I want my previous drip maker had stopped operating an extended time ago therefore I might have enjoyed the wonderful coffee this brewer produces lots sooner! I selected this brewer with slightly of hesitation primarily based on a number of the mixed client reviews on the functionality however I went with the consensus on the flavour. This machine makes the most effective home brewed occasional I've ever tasted! The process permits completely heated water to flow through the beans that is critical for a fine cup of coffee. My impression of the primary cup: surprise at the complexity of the flavour and also the richness sometimes solely found at your native upscale coffee bar. The carafe pours simply fine, no leaking or dripping. I haven't observed any shaking whereas the water heats commented on by others. The brewer is tall 15" however the configuration takes up lots less horizontal house on the counter and it's really terribly cool trying, purposeful art for the kitchen. I solve the longer brewing time issue by programming the brewer to start out quarter-hour before i buy up."

Excellent Bunn Phase Brewer coffee maker! A++++, February 26, 2011
By Pink_Peony_Lady
"This is my first Bunn coffee maker and therefore the section Brewer was a wonderful choice! I've invariably had Mr. coffee within the past, however the coffee was invariably simply so-so. Never was what i might decision a good cup of hot coffee. due to my Bunn section Brewer, i am brewing delicious, hot coffee that is equal to my native coffee search.
Here are some pointers for using the Bunn section Brewer.
1) invariably use the Bunn Filters. In fact, you need to use the Bunn filters as a result of they're taller and work this pot.
2) invariably scan the manual that comes with the section Brewer. FOLLOW SETUP & BREWING directions TO THE T.
3) Use 100% Arabica coffee beans. Grind beans to the consistancy listed in manual for section Brewer.
4) THIS POT IS LISTED AS eight CUPS, however I will solely GET five 3/4 - half dozen CUPS OF WATER within the POT.
5) something OVER half dozen CUPS can lead to OVERFLOW AND a serious MESS!
6) i exploit five 3/4 CUPS COLD WATER. don't OVERFILL THIS POT.
7) i am employing a one cup chrome steel measuring cup you'd live sugar or flour in.
8) invariably use smart cold water.
9) you may love the on/off switch and clock.
10) the new plate hotter can keep on for many hours and then shut off.
11) THIS POT doesn't keep ON 24/7 just like the ancient BUNN POTS.
12) Personally, I don't wish my Bunn coffee maker to remain on 24/7.
13) It takes regarding 10-12 minutes to brew a contemporary pot of low. Yes, it's well worth the wait!

Design for the modern kitchen, January 21, 2011 By boom chick (Los Angeles, CA)
"I recently updated all my little appliances to stainless and this coffee maker appearance nice. Sleek, trendy style and that i love the analog clock that glows blue particularly since the microwave features a digital clock; another one would have appeared cluttered. The machine simply had it's maiden voyage this morning and therefore the coffee was excellent cup when cup. The style failed to amendment and therefore the temperature was perfectly hot. i could not realize one cup machine I liked therefore this little ten cup works nice on behalf of me. This machine replaced a red Kitchen Aid that took up plenty a lot of counter area than this one. "

Pricey but works great, February 27, 2011
By seattlejanie (Seattle, WA)
"I bought this Bunn coffee maker the day once the Krups piece of junk I recently purchased quit operating entirely. I had wished the model with the metal water container, however the native walmart I bought it from solely had the plastic model. I hope with the water staying hot in that plastic housing 24/7, awaiting ensuing pot to be run, that it's not leaching BPA. It works all right and makes a decent tasting pot of coffee flash quick! three minutes simply as others have said. however the speed comes at a worth, I actually have to just about double the quantity of coffee I normally place in to urge a pot of coffee that's not watery skinny. This combined with the value of the coffee maker, and having to tug electricity to stay the water heated round the clock - it's not a cost-effective coffee pot either to shop for or to run. This is an excellent coffee pot for a coffee junkie who makes their coffee a minimum of daily. If you wish a coffee pot for fewer frequent use or mainly for company, it might be crazy to shop for this one. you may be paying to stay the water scalding hot 24/7 and also the plastic housing isn't insulated - you'll be able to feel the warmth of the water coming back through quite simply."

Quality, simplicity, performance, March 14, 2011
By Richard D. Fields "RN" (Los Osos, CA United States)
"I've had my Bunn STX Brewer for a couple of month currently and that i could not be happier. Not solely will it brew a good cup of coffee however it's neat, simple to use, simple to wash, simple to line up, and FAST. Brewing one 10 cup pot of coffee per day, it used a median of 38.6 watts per hour that is 926 watts per day or 27.8 KW per month (about $3.60 Per month). For a comparison, my refrigerator uses 490 KW per month. as a result of i used to be filling the carafe to a small degree too full the night before, I found that once I poured the water into the coffee maker within the morning it leaked some water from the seam between the stainless carafe and therefore the plastic higher portion. I referred to as Bunn concerning it and that they said that they might send out a replacement carafe quickly which I might send the initial back within the package and that they would provide a prepaid shipping label. you cannot raise for higher client service than that. maybe it should not have leaked like that however i'll non-the-less take care to not over fill it. you may ought to get the taller filters that it needs so as to stay coffee grounds out of your coffee carafe. they're alittle tougher to seek out however not prohibitively expensive. I did lots of on-line analysis before deciding on the Bunn. It appeared to have the simplest chronicle for sturdiness whereas most of the others I checked out below 300 dollars were failing in 2 years. I highly suggest this coffee maker."

Many improvements over the DGB-600BC, November 8, 2009
By Jewel Cardwell (Centreville, VA United States)
"We had a DGB-600BC and used it daily for concerning four years. The grinder assembly finally seized and that we might not take away it. we tend to had been wanting around for a replacement coffee maker, anyway, therefore we tend to went ahead and acquired this one (DGB-650BC) at a neighborhood store. We've been using it for one or two weeks currently and it makes a fine cup of coffee, a bit like the last one did. I noticed quickly, that a couple of things that turned out to be problems with the last model had been fastened or improved upon with this one.

 1) The grinder compartment is far higher separated from the water reservoir and conjointly designed higher for all the grounds to travel into the filter basket. The older model perpetually left somewhat of a large number, each within the grinder compartment and on the insufficient shelf that separated the filter basket from the occasional pot, and round the burner plate. i have never seen any of that mess with this model. i am unable to tell you the way happy that produces me.
 2) the insufficient shelf I spoke concerning in #1 is currently gone. that is a and. Since this maker is intended higher, it is not required anyway. Also, this shelf caused build up round the door latch creating it laborious to shut when a really short time. i am glad it's gone.
 3) The filter basket door mechanism is way higher designed. The recent model I had to slam shut, typically repeatedly, before it'd keep shut. This one encompasses a far better and additional durable hinge mechanism and latch.
 4) New to the current model (the recent one did not have this) may be a window on the aspect therefore you'll be able to see what proportion water you are pouring in. It's clearly marked and encompasses a red floating ball to create it simple to check. i actually like this feature. The grinder appear somewhat louder than the recent one, however I've never met a coffee grinder that wasn't loud and it's just for a really short time. i really like having freshly ground coffee very first thing within the morning. As so much as cleanup goes for the grinding assembly and filter basket, it solely takes a second or 2. apart from the coffee pot itself, there are five items to wash and it very is fast and straightforward to empty the filter basket and rinse the items. In short, this is often fine coffee maker, a lot of improved from the DGB-600BC, and that i am happy we tend to upgraded to it."

From espresso to French press. It will a beautiful job and makes that cup of coffee much better. the sole factor is that the static that comes from grinding that's a really little issue sticking to the plastic bin."

Great machine.....please read, November 29, 2005 By Dr. M. Diercks (California)
"This is very a good coffee maker. The negative reviews all appear to be fixated on the very fact that you simply have to be compelled to pour water into the reservoir, and also the unit does not go along with a container for this purpose!! Is Cuisinart the Devil? ought to I decision my lawyer and file a category action suit? what's wrong with folks today? Is is basically that tough to obtain a plastic pitcher of some type, fill it with water and then transfer that water into the coffee maker? i believe not, and that i do it one or 2 time daily myself while not covering my kitchen counters with water. If you're powerless to pour water from a pitcher into the reservoir of a coffee machine, i actually don't suppose that you simply ought to be trusted with a hot cup of occasional either.
The coffee tastes nice, never burnt. it's simple to program and clean and doesn't take up an entire ton of space. It additionally comes with one amongst those re-usable, permanent gold filters that several corporations sell separately for regarding $20. My girlfriend will operate this factor simply, and he or she features a laborious time working out the remote management for the TV. If she will program this unit, so can you. on the opposite negative comments I even have scan that describe a powerless, malfunctioning unit, I even have had no issues whatsoever with mine. Hope this review was helpful, thanks for reading it."

Wonderful coffee maker, April 27, 2008 By Lori Topaz (Texas)
"I purchased this coffeemaker once careful analysis and am passionate about it a great deal. It makes delicious coffee that stays hot for concerning four hours. The occasional retains sensible flavor for the total time. it's conjointly straightforward to scrub. With an everyday coffee pot (not thermal), the coffee loses its flavor once an hour. This one meets my wants. Also, Cuisinart warranties it for three years. I even have owned a grind and brew coffee maker and like this one that i exploit in conjunction with my grinder. It isn't good, however the little drawbacks do not trouble me. Yes, it's a trifle arduous initially to scan the fill markings for water. to induce the last little bit of coffee out of the carafe, you are doing need to start the lid and extremely tilt the carafe. On the opposite hand, that last bit tastes sensible. I conjointly just like the appearance of this device. The stainless-steel goes with several alternative appliances. Overall, it's a advocate."

Great Product - Easy to Use - At a Great Price, March 11, 2011 By Brendhan Hight
"I bought this product a month ago when reading all of the rave reviews. i am a coffee addict who loves lattes. i am not an aficionado therefore I opted for the PODS. The system is straightforward to use, has all of the mandatory functions and creates a good latte. The PODS are nice since there's very little to no clean-up needed and that they style pretty darn smart. i exploit the Illy PODS and haven't looked back. I've fully stopped hitting the coffee look and have created the transition to lattes at home. could not be happier and and have already justified the price. this can be a good product - highly suggest."

If you are doing not have any espresso shots you'll undoubtedly ought to get some as there's not enough space for a cup beneath the dispenser. however that's hardly value griping concerning. it's totally straightforward to use and it's nice on the counter! :) "

Finally The Best Coffee Maker, January 27, 2011 By Rocco (Spokane, WA)
"My wife and I drink a lot of coffee and have owned both glass and thermal carafe coffee makers. We prefer the thermal carafes because the coffee simply tastes better for a longer period of time. We have owned two other thermal carafes and this Cuisinart outperforms them both. 1. This machined brews 12 cups instead of 10 and does not take up much more counter space. In fact it is only 14.5 inches tall which I needed in order to fit under my cabinets. (The product specs on Amazon states it is over 16 inches tall.) 2. The carafe itself seems sturdy and pours coffee with minimal to no dripping. The coffee stays hot for several hours. No need to preheat the carafe. 3. It is EXTREMELY easy to clean. The stainless steal looking sides are smudge proof so you don't constantly see fingerprints all over it. 4. The water tank and water level indicator, though only on one side, are easy to read. I have had no issues with spilling (just make sure there is no coffee in the carafe before brewing a new pot and make sure the lid is on correctly). This coffee maker also has a 1-4 cup button, a regular or bold brew choice and you can choose to keep the "finished" beeping on or off. The beep it does emit is not very loud and not annoying..like some can be. Overall, this is the best and most trouble free coffee maker I have had int he past 20 years."

Customer Reviews for Cuisinart DCC-2600 14-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker
May 26, 2009. By John Errera
"This is a replacement for my old Cuisinart coffee maker which I had for about six years or so (the predecessor to this model). I loved my old one even with some of the little quirks it had. It beat out any Braun or Krupp pot which I had ever owned. This new updated model is a winner. All of the small annoyances have been solved, such as the small fill tank opening, the dripping cover that leaked back into the fill tank, and finally, thank you Cuisinart people, a water level guide on the outside of the unit. The front knobs on the front are now also easier to see and use. As my other Cuisinart did, it brews superior coffee and quickly. I find it takes about one minute per cup... 12 minutes for twelve cups, not bad at all. Yes, the unit does make some clicking and popping noises when it is new, so did my old one. But that goes away in time as the unit gets "broken in". I do not think you can find a better coffee maker on the market."

May 29, 2009. By Dorothy
"We take coffee very seriously in my house and when our old Cuisinart broke I wasn't sure I wanted another. But they fixed the design problems (hard to pour the water without spilling, no visible water gauge) and it makes great coffee. Highly recommend it."
